Sharing Christ’s love with Future Generations

Buildings will still be standing after many of us have long since passed away. While buildings only “house” the work of the church, a structure dedicated solely to teaching the future generations of Christian leaders will be a reminder to us all that our faith not only impacts our present, but it also reaches far into the future. 

The Goal

$450,000

The Building Committee has estimated that the Children’s Building can be completed for $450,000. This amount is an estimate and within this number is the assumption that the church will be able to solicit work from church members and other church agencies to complete some portions of the construction project. You should not only be praying as to how God would lead you to give financially towards the project, but also how you could give of your time and talents.

The Plan

Pledge Amount = Loan Amount

The Capital Fund Raising Campaign will technically last for 3 years, which means pledges will be collected for a period of 3 years. However, one of the first phases of the campaign is a commitment time where you will be asked to communicate your 3 year pledge on a Commitment Card. Once we have added together all of the Commitment Cards, we will know our total Pledge Amount and the trustees will then enter into a loan for the same amount. This allows the building to be completed quickly and thus we can begin enjoying and utilizing it as soon as possible.

Phase 1

Phase 1 of the Capital Fund Raising Campaign will be called an Information Phase. During this phase you should ask as many questions as you possibly can to the Building Committee, Stewardship Committee, Deacons, and Staff. We as a Staff will do our best to communicate as much information to you as possible in order to answer your questions before you even ask them! During this information phase we will focus on communicating information in areas such as the need for the Children’s Building regarding ministry activities and what sacrificial giving is for each and every family of McKinney Street Baptist Church.

We are entering into a campaign that we are calling a Legacy of Faith. The title implies that we are partnering together to do something that will have ramifications on future generations. But do not focus so much on the legacy that you forget it is one of faith. What we are partnering to do seems impossible to some, but for those of us who live by faith we know that “nothing is impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37)
